Synergy across devices
The Tecra Z40-C shares many features with the latest business line-up from Toshiba, to ensure consistency across your company – no matter which models you choose. So you can easily access all of your peripherals using a wide range of ports, with the common docking station. The Z40-C also comes with dongle-free connectivity in the form of HDMI, RGB, Gigabit LAN and three USB 3.0 ports for added convenience and flexibility. All Toshiba laptops share the same software image, for easy customization in one go. Plus, the fingerprint reader, non-reflective screen, webcam, magnesium chassis, Acupoint and docking connector all come as standard too.
Secure and easy to manage
The Tecra Z40-C is built for business, and comes loaded with tried-and-tested security and management features. There’s the self-encrypted drives and Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to safeguard the critical data on your local storage. And even if your Z40-C needs to be updated, the IT department can do it at any time, with Intel Active Management Technology (AMT). The fingerprint and Smartcard reader makes it easy and secure to log on to your PC too, while the 3D sensor knows to take care of your data if your laptop falls.

The ultra-durable Portégé Z40-C was designed to withstand the pressures of professional life and meet Toshiba’s quality standards. That’s why it’s backed up by H.A.L.T. (Highly Accelerated Life Test) which simulates 3 years of use. The independent German test institute, TÜV Rheinland® has pressure-tested the Z40-C, as well as drop-testing it up to 76 cm, and spill-testing it for resistance up to 30 ml. So even if you accidentally spill your drink, you have time to shut-down and protect your data**. With its light yet strong magnesium chassis, the Portégé Z40-C is robust enough to withstand an ultra-mobile working life, so you can be sure of a higher return on your investment. **Spill-resistant keyboards help protect your data from accidental spills up to 30 ml, allowing you 3 minutes shut down time to save your data.
